US Senator Adam Schiff congratulates Armenia on Independence Day

US Senator for California Adam Schiff has released a statement on the occasion of Armenia’s Independence Day.

“Today, I join Armenians around the world in celebrating the 35th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Armenia,” the senator said on Facebook.

“Time and time again history has proven that Armenians are survivors in the face of unthinkable genocide and tragedy. I stand in solidarity with the Armenian people as we remain committed to protecting the sovereignty of the country and strengthening the relationship between the United States and Armenia.”

Armenia marked the 35th anniversary of independence on September 21.
