Gas supplies from Russia to Armenia to be suspended for 10 days

Natural gas supplies from Russia to Armenia will be temporarily suspended for 10 days starting September 15 due to planned maintenance work on a major pipeline in Russia, Gazprom Armenia said Monday.

“Due to planned preventive and comprehensive repair work on the North Caucasus–Transcaucasia main gas pipeline in the territory of the Russian Federation, the supply of natural gas to Armenia through the pipeline will be temporarily suspended from September 15 to 25,” Gazprom Armenia, a subsidiary of Russian Gazprom, said in a statement.

Gazprom Armenia said that during this period, consumers across the country will continue to receive uninterrupted and reliable gas supplies, with domestic reserves and additional volumes of natural gas supplied from Iran ensuring the supply.
