Moscow and Kyiv have carried out new strikes against each other. The Russian Defence Ministry said that air defence systems had destroyed two guided aerial bombs and 498 UAVs.
Authorities in the Russian city of Perm said that a Ukrainian drone had struck the upper floors of a high-rise residential building. One person was killed and four others were injured in the strike, Interfax reported.
The agency also reported that Tatarstan had come under a massive drone attack. Industrial and civilian facilities sustained minor damage at sites where debris fell.
During the night of September 7, flight restrictions were imposed at the airports of Nizhnekamsk (Begishevo), Bugulma and Kazan in Tatarstan.
The emergency response headquarters of the Belgorod region also said that a civilian had been killed and another injured in a drone attack in Grayvoron.
Sevastopol Mayor Mikhail Razvozhayev, for his part, said that two people had been killed in an overnight attack on the city.
The BBC Russian Service, citing the Ukrainian Air Force, reported that during the evening of September 6 and the night of September 7, Russian forces launched 92 Shahed-type attack drones towards Ukraine, including jet-powered variants, as well as Gerber drones, Parodiya drone decoys and S8000 Banderol guided missiles.
According to the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office, Russian forces carried out four air strikes on the city of Kramatorsk on the morning of September 7, killing two people and injuring four. The Prosecutor’s Office added that three apartment buildings and vehicles were damaged.
Ukraine’s State Emergency Service said that Russian attacks on the Odesa region had caused fires and destruction in two districts.
In Chernihiv, a factory belonging to British American Tobacco is also on fire following Russian shelling.
