Armenia stresses importance of expanding friendship-based ties with Ukraine: minister

Armenian Minister of Labor and Welfare Arsen Torosyan participated as a guest of honor in an event dedicated to the 35th anniversary of Ukraine’s independence.

According to the ministry’s press release, during the official reception, Minister Arsen Torosyan congratulated the friendly people of Ukraine on the occasion on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Armenia and emphasized that the Republic of Armenia attaches great importance to the consistent development and expansion of bilateral relations with Ukraine based on friendship.

Minister Torosyan emphasized that the high-level reciprocal visits and contacts that have intensified recently have reinvigorated interstate relations between Armenia and Ukraine.

In his speech, the minister also addressed the importance of programs and work being carried out in the humanitarian, educational, economic and cultural spheres, noting that through joint efforts, they can provide new impetus to the implementation of programs and initiatives of mutual interest.

Torosyan said that Armenia reaffirms its readiness to continue contributing to the further strengthening of friendly relations between the two countries through mutual cooperation.
