Major road accident on Kuchak-Aparan road section leaves 5 dead, according to preliminary data

On September 2 at 5:17 p.m., the Interior Ministry’s 112 Operational Management Centre received a report that vehicles had collided on the Kuchak-Aparan road section.

Operational teams from the Interior Ministry’s Police and response units from the Rescue Service were dispatched to the scene. According to the Armenian Interior Ministry’s Police, it was established that a PAZ vehicle and an Opel Zafira had collided on the road section. According to preliminary data, five people were killed and seven sustained injuries of varying severity.

The circumstances are being clarified.

At the same time, the Armenian Health Ministry reported that 10 people injured in the accident had been hospitalised at regional medical centres. The condition of two of them is currently assessed as serious but stable, while the conditions of the others are moderate or mild. All those injured are receiving the necessary medical care.
