An international exhibition bringing together highlights from the collections of the History Museum of Armenia and Berlin’s Museum Island will open in Yerevan on September 21, Armenia’s Independence Day.

The exhibition, titled “Myths, Cults and Cosmology: Museum Island Berlin at the History Museum of Armenia,” is being held with the financial support of Armenia’s Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport and the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Armenia, and in cooperation with the History Museum of Armenia and Berlin’s Museum Island.

For the first time, the exhibition will bring together on a single platform a selection of collections from the six museums of Berlin’s Museum Island and the History Museum of Armenia.

The exhibition will offer visitors a unique opportunity to encounter cosmological images and ideas from different cultural settings, spanning the ancient world, the Middle Ages and modern times.

The exhibition will be held at the History Museum of Armenia and is dedicated to the 35th anniversary of Armenia’s independence and the 200th anniversary of the founding of Berlin’s Museum Island.

Advance ticket sales have begun. Tickets can be purchased online through the Museums Armenia platform.
