Kremlin dismisses reports of new mobilization in Russia as fake news

Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov has described claims that Russia is preparing for a new mobilization as fake news, RTVI reports.

“You know that all of this is being spread by the Ukrainian authorities. Naturally, the regime is trying to ideologically destabilize the situation in our country. These are all information lies that are deliberately being spread in the media,” Peskov said.

In comments to reporters released on August 23, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy once again claimed that Russia is likely to mobilize another 300,000 troops after the September State Duma elections.
