Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan spoke by phone with his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi, the Anadolu news agency reported citing foreign ministry sources.
The two discussed the latest developments in negotiations over reopening the Strait of Hormuz and maintaining the ceasefire, the sources said, according to Anadolu.
The call focused on the current status of the talks on both issues, according to the sources.
Fidan also held separate telephone calls with Iraqi Kurdistan President Nechirvan Barzani and Prime Minister Masrour Barzani to discuss the latest regional developments.
