The Armenian government has decided to extend the export compensation programme for selected greenhouse products to August 2026, under a decision adopted at its July 30 meeting.
The list of eligible products has also been expanded to include Palermo peppers and eggplants.
The measure aims to maintain the competitiveness of Armenian greenhouse products in export markets and support further growth in exports.
For products exported in August, businesses will receive the following compensation:
* 770 drams per kilogram of strawberries;
* 275 drams per kilogram of tomatoes;
* 400 drams per kilogram of cherry tomatoes;
* 400 drams per kilogram of peppers;
* 500 drams per kilogram of Palermo peppers;
* 200 drams per kilogram of eggplants;
* 37 drams per flower.
For flowers exported to European Union member states, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, or Switzerland, the compensation will amount to 50 drams per flower.
Between June 1 and July 23, 2026, Armenia exported approximately 1,526 tonnes of peppers, 770 tonnes of tomatoes, 213.4 tonnes of strawberries, and around 5.8 million flowers weighing 58 tonnes.
In July alone, as of July 23, exports reached approximately 742 tonnes of peppers, 562 tonnes of tomatoes, 104.4 tonnes of strawberries, and around 2.3 million flowers weighing 23 tonnes.
During the same period, Armenia also expanded the geographical reach of its exports. Armenian flowers were exported to 26 countries, fruit to 19 countries, and vegetables to eight countries.
The government expects that, under the support programme, around 150 tonnes of strawberries, 4,100 tonnes of vegetables, and 5.2 million flowers will be exported in August. The decision also adds the Air Waybill (AWB) to the list of documents required to receive compensation for goods exported by air to member states of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).
