One crew member was killed and three others were injured after a drone struck the Türkiye-flagged cargo ship Mv Reyhan Sarı in the Black Sea, Turkish daily Sabah reported.
According to the newspaper, the vessel, which was transporting coal from Russia’s Port of Taman to Trabzon, Türkiye, came under attack in the Black Sea. Various sources said the incident occurred either near Novorossiysk or in international waters off the coast of Samsun.
The victim was a member of the ship’s engine room crew. The three injured crew members received first aid before being taken to medical facilities.
According to Sabah, the vessel sustained damage in the attack but remained capable of continuing its voyage.
