Economy minister and French ambassador discuss prospects for expanding bilateral trade and economic cooperation

Armenian Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan met with French Ambassador to Armenia Olivier Decottignies on June 29.

According to the Ministry of Economy, Deputy Minister Anushik Avetyan also attended the meeting.

The sides discussed prospects for expanding trade and economic cooperation between Armenia and France, as well as increasing exports of Armenian products.

Minister Papoyan said that diversifying exports is one of the Armenian government’s priorities, stressing that expanding the presence of high-quality Armenian products in European Union markets, including France, is of particular importance in that context.

The discussions also covered strengthening business ties between Armenian producers and French companies, organizing business-to-business (B2B) meetings, and promoting Armenian products in the French market.
