Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has said that the recent Oman-mediated talks with the U.S. have yielded “encouraging signals.”

In a statement on X, Pezeshkian said that recent negotiations involved the exchange of practical proposals but warned that Tehran has made necessary preparations for "any potential scenario."

“Iran is committed to peace and stability in the region. Recent negotiations involved the exchange of practical proposals and yielded encouraging signals. However, we continue to closely monitor U.S. actions and have made all necessary preparations for any potential scenario,” the Iranian President said on X.

Iran and the U.S. resumed talks on Tehran’s nuclear program in Oman earlier this month, and held a second round in Geneva last week. Oman has confirmed a third round in Geneva to be held on Thursday.
