Ambassador Tigran Mkrtchyan discusses Armenian-Greek trade and economic ties in Thessaloniki

During his working visit to Thessaloniki, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to Greece Tigran Mkrtchyan met with the President of the Thessaloniki Chamber of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises, Makarios Papadopoulos, the Armenian Embassy in Greece said in a statement.
The sides discussed the establishment of relations with Armenian partners and the gradual increase of trade turnover between the two countries.
Ambassador Mkrtchyan presented the main areas of mutually beneficial cooperation between Armenia and Greece, emphasizing that although trade turnover indicators have increased in recent years, the existing potential is much greater and economic activity should be stimulated by all available means.
Makarios Papadopoulos expressed interest in organizing a visit to Armenia in the near future and in establishing mutually beneficial cooperation with Armenian counterparts.
At the end of the meeting, Ambassador Tigran Mkrtchyan signed the book of honored guests.
The meeting was also attended by the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Armenia in Thessaloniki, Akis Dagazian.
