Pashinyan chairs consultation on tourism development

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan chaired a consultation on the strategic program for the development of tourism in Armenia for 2026–2030, the Prime Minister’s Office said in a readout.

The consultation addressed the goals of the program, as well as the actions and events planned to create new tourism destinations, develop both inbound and outbound tourism and target new markets.

The program outlines a series of measures aimed at attracting investment, improving infrastructure, introducing internationally renowned brands, enhancing Armenia’s international appeal, and ensuring high-quality services. It also targets increasing the number of tourists visiting Armenia annually to 3 million, up from 2.2 million recorded in 2024.

The Prime Minister emphasized the need to give new momentum to already successful events and programs. He also stressed the importance of continuing initiatives for the restoration of historical and cultural monuments.

Following the discussion, the strategic plan for the development of tourism in Armenia for 2026–2030 will be submitted to the Government for approval.
