Commander of police troops sacked

Major General Hayk Babayan, Commander of the Police Troops and Deputy Chief of Police, has been dismissed by presidential decree.

President Vahagn Khachaturyan formalized the dismissal on the advice of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, the presidency reported.

Major General Babayan had served as commander of the police troops since November 2020.
