Infamous gender reveal party organizer used food coloring, says inspection agency

Authorities said that the organizer of a gender reveal party at the iconic Shaki Waterfall in Syunik Province used food coloring for the stunt.

A joint probe by local police and the environmental protection agency revealed that a resident of the town of Sisian in Syunik Province dyed the water pink using food coloring, sparking backlash over the apparent disregard for the natural monument. The Sisian resident is facing administrative liability.

As part of the ongoing proceedings, the inspection agency said it has taken water samples for laboratory testing. If changes to the water quality are detected, authorities said they would calculate the damage inflicted on the water reserve.
