The Kremlin has released more details about the Pashinyan-Putin phone call.
In its readout, the Kremlin said the call was initiated by the Armenian side.
“Nikol Pashinyan comprehensively presented the outcomes of the August 8 meeting in Washington with US President Donald Trump and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev. Vladimir Putin underscored the importance of steps that are conducive to sustainable peace between Yerevan and Baku. The Russian side’s readiness to support the comprehensive normalization of Armenian-Azerbaijani relations within the framework of the high-level agreements of 2020-2022, including unblocking of regional transportation connections, was reiterated. In turn, Vladimir Putin presented the main outcomes of his conversation with US presidential envoy Steve Witkoff, as well as the preparations for the meeting with US President Donald Trump in Alaska. Nikol Pashinyan welcomed the steps toward the peaceful resolution of the Ukrainian crisis. Certain actual issues of the Armenian-Russian bilateral agenda were discussed, with an emphasis on the development of trade-investment cooperation and partnership within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union,” the Kremlin said.
