As part of her working visit to Georgia, Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia Zhanna Andreasyan met with the Minister of Culture of Georgia, Tinatin Rukhadze.
Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Alfred Kocharyan and the Ambassador of Armenia to Georgia, Ashot Smbatyan, also took part in the meeting, the ministry has said in a statement.
Expressing gratitude for the invitation, Minister Andreasyan emphasized the close and friendly cooperation between the two countries, as well as the potential to expand joint cultural programs.
"At the end of the meeting, a program was signed between the ministries of the two countries on continuing cooperation in the field of culture for 2025–2027," the statement said.
It was also noted that the possibility of holding Armenian Cultural Days in Georgia in 2026 is under consideration.
"Taking into account the priorities of both countries, the parties will also cooperate on issues within the mandate of UNESCO and other international organizations, within the framework of the "Creative Europe" program, as well as other initiatives funded by the European Union and the Council of Europe," the statement added.
As part of her visit, Minister Andreasyan also visited the National Museum of Georgia.
