Austrian Chancellor Christian Stocker declared three days of national mourning after a deadly school shooting in the southeastern city of Graz.
"During three days of national mourning, all of Austria" will remember the victims, Stocker told a press conference in Graz, according to AFP.
"This is a dark day," he said, standing alongside Interior Minister Gerhard Karner, adding that the Alpine country had seen "an act of unimaginable violence,” according to AFP.
Ten people, including the 21-year-old gunman, have been killed in the school shooting, BBC reported citing police.
The incident took place at Dreierschützengasse secondary school in the north-west of the city.
Six females and three males were killed in the attack, according to Interior Minister Gerhard Karner. Police said the 21-year-old gunman took his own life in a school bathroom shortly after, according to BBC.
A further 28 people are being treated for their injuries in hospital, according to local media reports.
