India, Pakistan agree to consider troop reduction from borders, forward areas

Director Generals of Military Operations (DGMO) of India and Pakistan held talks on Monday where they decided to continue the ceasefire and avoid initiating any "aggressive and inimical action against each other", Times of India reported.

"Talks between DGMOs were held at 5pm, May 12, 2025. Issues related to continuing the commitment that both sides must not fire a single shot or initiate any aggressive and inimical action against each other were discussed," ANI reported citing Indian Army.

It was also agreed that both sides consider immediate measures to ensure troop reduction from the borders and forward areas," it added.
