Meteorologists explain Armenia rain dust
1 minute read

The muddy rain across most parts of Armenia was caused by high concentration of dust in the air that moved towards the country by southern currents from Iraqi deserts, according to meteorologists.
The cyclone reached Caucasus via the Mediterranean Sea and Iraq, the Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Center said in a press release.
As a result of such circulation of the atmosphere, the southern currents moved air with high concentration of dust from Iraqi deserts towards Armenia, which resulted in muddy rains in most parts of the country, the agency said.
It added that the rain dust, also known as muddy rain, happens in this season almost every year in Armenia due to southern cyclones.
