Specialized U.S. team to visit Armenia for border security capacity collaboration

A U.S. team specialized in customs and border security is set to visit Armenia in the coming weeks to collaborate with Armenian counterparts on enhancing border security capabilities.

U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken stated during his speech at the signing ceremony of the Armenia-U.S.Strategic Partnership Charter in Washington.

Blinken noted that the U.S. is also cooperating with Armenia in the areas of security and defense, specifically supporting efforts to safeguard Armenia’s independence and sovereignty within its own territory.

U.S. Secretary of State mentioned that a US Customs and Border Patrol will visit Armenia in the coming weeks to work with Armenian counterparts on border security capacity building, strengthen security cooperation, and enhance Armenia's peacekeeping capabilities through exercises like Eagle Partner.
