Armenian PM meets with Russian top senator

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has held a meeting in Yerevan with Chairwoman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of Russia Valentina Matviyenko. 

Matviyenko’s office said in a readout that the meeting took place longer than originally scheduled.

“In the beginning the talks were held in the one-on-one format. They lasted significantly longer than scheduled,” it said, adding that an enlarged-format meeting took place afterwards.

The PM’s office hadn’t yet issued a readout.
