YEREVAN, DECEMBER 24, ARMENPRESS. Since the 1994 ceasefire, discussions about Nagorno-Karabakh have focused on its return to Azerbaijan. In other words, the negotiations could only have one outcome: the actual return of Nagorno-Karabakh to Azerbaijan, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has announced on his Facebook page.

"We did not pursue this, and the international community, which initially predetermined the framework of the negotiation process, did not seriously oppose the war. This is the reality. As for when, why, and how we did not follow this, that is a completely different topic, a serious, deep, and comprehensive one, which I have discussed with the public on various occasions and will address again as appropriate.

Earlier, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan had invited the former presidents to a debate on the topic of negotiations over the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. The offices of the former presidents of Armenia declined the invitation to participate in the debate.
