Pashinyan congratulates new French PM on taking office

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 17, ARMENPRESS. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has congratulated French Prime Minister François Bayrou on his appointment.

“I cordially congratulate you on your appointment as Prime Minister of the French Republic, wishing you success in implementing your high mission," the Armenian PM said in a letter to Bayrou. "I am sure that your big professional and political experience and capabilities will serve for the benefit of France and the French people. I am sure that our governments will continue the close cooperation to expand the special relationship between the two states based on the strong friendship of the Armenian and French peoples. I express my decisive readiness to take steps through joint efforts in the direction of developing the strategic cooperation between Armenia and France, particularly within the framework of economic cooperation. We attach great importance to France’s consistent efforts aimed at establishing security, fair and lasting peace in our region. We highly appreciate your continual attention to issues related to Armenia and the solidarity displayed towards the Armenian people. It would be a great honor to host you in Armenia on an official visit to hold substantial discussions in the direction of further developing the Armenian-French cooperation. Once again congratulating you on assuming office of Prime Minister of France and wishing you success in all your plans, please accept, dear Mr. Prime Minister, the assurances of my highest consideration.”
