Deputy Foreign Minister and newly appointed Austrian Ambassador discuss "Crossroads of Peace" project

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 10, ARMENPRESS. On December 10, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, Paruyr Hovhannisyan, received the Ambassador of the Republic of Austria to Armenia, Robert Gerschner (residing in Tbilisi), on the occasion of handing over a copy of the credentials.

According to a press release issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Paruyr Hovhannisyan congratulated Ambassador Gerschner on assuming his position and expressed hope that his tenure would contribute to strengthening relations between Armenia and Austria.

The meeting focused on the high-level political dialogue between the two countries and the positive dynamics in bilateral relations in recent years. Both sides emphasized the importance of expanding effective partnerships in areas of mutual interest, including trade, investment, education, culture, and technology.

The issues discussed during the meeting also included the process of normalizing relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, the steps taken by Armenia to promote security and stability in the South Caucasus, and the "Crossroads of Peace" project.
