Armenian Ambassador presents credentials to President of Sri Lanka

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 29, ARMENPRESS. Armenia’s Ambassador to Sri Lanka Vahagn Afyan in Colombo presented his credentials to President Anura Kumara Dissanayake. 

Afyan is the Armenian Ambassador to India and concurrently covers Sri Lanka. 

After the ceremony, the Ambassador and the Sri Lankan president had a brief conversation, the foreign ministry said in a press release.

Ambassador Afyan then met with the Sri Lankan foreign minister Vijitha Herath. 

At the meeting both sides attached importance to the development of cooperation in areas of mutual interest in the traditionally friendly bilateral relationship as well as expansion of mutually-beneficial ties in other sectors.

Partnership in international organizations was also discussed.
