Armenian Ambassador to Greece, Greek Deputy Foreign Minister discuss formats of diaspora cooperation

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 6, ARMENPRESS. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to Greece, Tigran Mkrtchyan, held a meeting with the Greek Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, responsible for public diplomacy and Greek diaspora issues,Giorgos Kotsiras.

According to the Armenian Embassy in Greece, the parties discussed possible avenues and formats for cooperation between diaspora organizations. Giorgos Kotsiras informed the Armenian Ambassador about the upcoming presentation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' 2024-2027 strategic program on Hellenism abroad, noting that the Greek side is interested in Armenia's experience in coordinating with diaspora organizations.

The Armenian Ambassador also briefed the Deputy Minister on a number of upcoming events in Armenia, which will provide opportunities for high-level engagement and experience exchange. Both sides emphasized the importance of mutual high-level official visits and fostering cooperation between community organizations.
