France to remain committed to strong ties with Armenia – FM

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 16, ARMENPRESS. French Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs Stéphane Séjourné said on Monday in Yerevan that his visit proves Paris will always maintain the continuity of the strong and historic relationship with Yerevan regardless of the changes of politicians and government officials.

Speaking at a joint press conference with Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan, Séjourné stressed that naturally his visit was confirmed by President Macron and the new PM Michel Barnier and that it is the continuity of the policy and commitment of France.

Séjourné said French commitment to the strong ties with Armenia will remain the same regardless of changes of politicians. “There will be no change in the values we defend. The continuity of our support and strong ties will be maintained, the values of democracy, friendship and peace, the historic relationship will be maintained,” he said.
