Paris 2024: Slavik Galstyan to fight for Olympic bronze medal

 

PARIS, AUGUST 7, ARMENPRESS. Member of the Armenian Olympic team, wrestler Slavik Galstyan, will fight for the bronze medal at the Olympic Games.

Galstyan's opponent in the semi-finals of the Greco-Roman style wrestling in the 67 kg weight category held at the Champ-de-Mars Arena in Paris was Saeid Esmaeili, the representative of Iran, the current champion of Asia. Galstyan lost 10:4 in a challenging wrestling match.

Earlier, in the first two wrestling matches, Slavik Galstyan defeated the representatives of Ecuador and France.

On August 7, wrestlers Artur Aleksanyan and Malkhas Amoyan from the Armenian Olympic team will compete for Olympic medals. Artur Aleksanyan will face Mohammad Hadi Saravi from Iran in the final, while Malkhas Amoyan will fight for the bronze medal against Aram Vardanyan representing Uzbekistan.
