Graduates of Armenpress School of Photojournalism receive long-awaited certificates

YEREVAN, 30 MAY, ARMENPRESS. For about five years, the Photojournalism School of Armenpress State News Agency has been giving young people the opportunity to gain knowledge in the field of photojournalism. Thanks to honored photojournalist Felix Arustamyan, students develop a passion for the profession of a photographer, and later engage in professional photography.

On May 30, the 2023-2024 graduates of the School of Photojournalism were presented with their certificates by the director of 'Armenpress,' Narine Nazaryan, which, as the graduates admit, are of great importance to them.

Addressing the graduates, Narine Nazaryan said that she is sure that the knowledge imparted by Felix Arustamyan would greatly help young people both now and in the future.

"We often hear the expression 'figuratively speaking.' Why? Because images sometimes fill in what cannot be conveyed in words. In today's rapidly developing world, where there is often little time to read lengthy texts, the visual aspect of materials becomes more impactful and targeted," said Nazaryan, adding that she would be very happy if the "Armenpress" School of Photojournalism also becomes a unique platform for the professional orientation.

"In 2023-2024, 13 participants attended the classes; they are free. There are children among the participants who have a very good "eye". They are students, schoolchildren, who enthusiastically attend classes, participate in practical sessions, receive assignments, and create their own portfolios. Some children have already expressed their desire to participate in next year's courses,’’ said Arustamyan.
