Parliament majority leader calls on US congressmen to continue pressuring Azerbaijan to suppress aggression

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 4, ARMENPRESS. The head of the Civil Contract caucus in parliament Hayk Konjoryan, who serves as the leader of the Armenia-United States Parliamentary Friendship Group, has addressed letters to a group of United States Congressmen and presented details on Azerbaijan’s large-scale military aggression against Armenia and the barbarism committed by the Azerbaijani troops against Armenian prisoners of war.

“As leader of the Armenia-United States Friendship Group, today I sent letters to members of the Congressional Armenian Caucus, United States Congressman Gus Bilirakis, CongressmanFrank Pallone, Congresswoman Jackie Speier, Congressman David Valadao and the Co-Chair of the Congressional Armenian Caucus Adam Schiff, presenting details on Azerbaijan’s military aggression against Armenia and the barbarisms committed by the Azerbaijani soldiers against Armenian prisoners of war. I called on my colleagues to continue exerting pressure on Azerbaijan with targeted actions, to suppress any kind of aggression against Armenia, withdraw the Azerbaijani troops from sovereign territory of Armenia and hold all those guilty of war crimes to account,” Konjoryan said in a statement.
