Aliyev sacks longtime administration chief

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 23, ARMENPRESS. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has dismissed the head of his administration Ramiz Mehdiyev, Interfax reported.

Mehdiyev, 81, was serving as Head of the Presidential Administration of Azerbaijan since 1994.

Aliyev awarded Mehdiyev with the Heydar Aliyev Order and included him in the country’s Security Council.
