Polish national wounded in Armenian mountain bear attack

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 14, ARMENPRESS. Two citizens of Poland have been attacked by a bear on Mount Aragats in Armenia, the Ministry of Emergency Situations said in a news release.

Emergency services received a 911 call on the incident at 14:26, September 14 that the two were attacked by the bear when hiking on the mountain. One of them is wounded, authorities said.

Rescuers have been dispatched to the scene.

Other details weren’t immediately clear.
