During the tour the media representatives had an opportunity to personally ‘taste’ the whole taste and smell of adventurism tourism and to assess its interest with their own experience.

The journalists were introduced on the preliminary sketches of the project of construction of the world’s longest zipline. The authors and the team of the project presented the ongoing results of fundraising launched at Indiegogo international platform aimed at construction the world’s longest zipline in Armenia.

The zipline construction requires 200.000 USD, large part of which already exists. On May 4 a collective fundraising launched at the Indiegogo international platform by gathering Armenians worldwide, as well as foreigners which will end on June 2.

Author of ‘Yell Extreme Park’ project Tigran Chibukhchyan, speaking about the project, attached importance to the presence of the team working with him since thanks to this team they can do everything. “What you see, I didn’t do it alone, we have a great team and thanks to them we managed to do this within a year. Our first pleasure was zipline, but now we have various extreme pleasures”, he said, adding that 8160 USD has been donated due to fundraising.

Chibukhchyan said the campaign continues, and called on everyone to join it, since those who will donate will receive gifts for their donation. In case of investing 60 USD and more the fundraising participants will be among the first ones who will have a ticket of the world’s longest zipline and will arrive in Armenia after official opening to use the zipline at any time.

“I want to state that in terms of terrain we are very lucky, and Armenia has a great potential in terms of extreme tourism, and we utilized and continue utilizing that chance. One of our greatest achievements is that today the resident of Yenokavan community can be engaged in his/her favorite work and carry out an active life. Last year 20% of our visitors were foreign tourists, and the remaining 80% were from Armenia. This year we try to increase the flow of foreign tourists. The visitors are mostly from Russia, the United Arab Emirates and Filipinos living there”, Tigran Chibukhchyan said.

‘Yell Extreme Park’ project marketing coordinator Gegham Vardanyan talked about from where the majority of donations comes. “The large part of donations is from Armenia, nearly 60%, the US and Russia are in the second place, then comes the UK, France, Georgia, even Cyprus, Canada, Argentina and other countries. I want to state that the State Tourism Committee, the US Ambassador to Armenia Richard Mills also provided assistance to the project. Our team attaches great importance that thanks to this project Armenia will get a status of center of extreme tourism in the region and will become more recognized. The vivid evidence of this is the active participation of various countries in our fundraising”, Vardanyan said.

He said after the fundraising the names of all people who provided assistance to the project’s implementation will be mentioned in the project’s official website www.longest-zipline.com, as well as in a special pace at ‘Yell Extreme Park’.

The lovers of active entertainment have a chance to organize their rest at ‘Yell Extreme Park’ by using different types of  sport - ZipLine, Paragliding, Rope Park, Off-road, Mountain Biking, Paintball, Horseback Riding, Rest Area/ Board Games.

The new and the longest zipline will be 2680m in length and 200-300m in height. Zipline flight will last 3 minutes during which it is possible to develop a maximum speed of 120 km/h. Today the longest zipline registered in the Guinness Book is in Puerto Rico, but de facto the longest one is in Mexico 2545 m.
