Armenian President receives Armenian Prosecutor General

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 27, ARMENPRESS. President Serzh Sargsyan received Prosecutor Generalof the Republic of Armenia GevorgKostanyan on November 27 for the report on the issues of Armenian Prosecutor’s office jurisdiction connected with Armenian referendum on constitutional reforms, held on December 6.

As Public RelationsandInformation Departmentof the ArmenianPresident's office informed “Armenpress”, the Prosecutor General reported the President that a working group was created in the Prosecutor’s office for the purpose to react properly to each alert during the campaign of the referendum on constitutional reforms, the procedures subsequent to the referendum, over unlawful Interference against Armenian citizens’ exercising of their right to vote and against the expression of their position.

Armenian President mentioned that the prosecution office, within its power, must properly react operatively to any unlawful Interference against Armenian citizens’ exercising of their right to vote and to organize proper control over the legitimacy during the entire process of exercising the right to vote.
