Prime Minister Pashinyan receives U.S. Assistant Secretary of State James O'Brien

YEREVAN, JUNE 11, ARMENPRESS.The Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, received U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs James O'Brien.

According to the PM’s office, Pashinyan emphasized the importance of holding the concluding session of the Armenia-US strategic dialogue in Yerevan and expressed his belief that it would give new impetus to the further development and strengthening of multi-sectoral cooperation.

The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of consistent U.S. support for the democratic reforms being implemented in Armenia. Nikol Pashinyan highlighted the significance of effectively implementing the agreements reached during the high-level Armenia-EU-U.S. meeting held in Brussels on May 5.

James O'Brien expressed satisfaction with the effectiveness of the session, adding that the U.S. administration will continue to support the Armenian government in promoting reforms in various areas. The parties also discussed the Armenia-Azerbaijan peace treaty, the border delimitation process based on the Alma-Ata Declaration, and the Armenian government's "Crossroads of Peace" project and its principles.

Prime Minister Pashinyan stated that the government has approved a housing provision program for people forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh and emphasized the need for support from international partners in its implementation.
