Russia to extend a state export credit of USD 200 million to Armenian

YEREVAN, JULY 1, ARMENPRESS. The Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Assembly of Armenia has examined the Agreement on Extending a State Export Credit to the Government of Armenia, signed on June 26, 2015, by and between the Government of Armenia and the Government of the Russian Federation. The agreement was introduced into the National Assembly of Armenia by Ara Nazaryan, the deputy minister of defense, sources from the Public Relations and Information Office of the National Assembly told Armenpress.

The deputy minister told that Russia will extend to Armenia a state export credit of USD 200 million to finance the purchase of Russian military hardware.

The agreement will be sent for ratification by the parliament, along with a favorable opinion from the committee.

The Government has convened an extraordinary meeting of the parliament to debate the Agreement on Extending a State Export Credit to the Government of Armenia. The meeting is scheduled for 12:00 (noon), July 2, 2015.
