WB to continue cooperation for reforms in Armenia’s energy system

YEREVAN, 8 APRIL, ARMENPRESS. On April 8, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of the Republic of Armenia Yervand Zakharyan received World Bank Energy Sector Manager for Europe and Central Asia Ranjit Lamech. As the Department of Information and Public Relations of the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources of the Republic of Armenia reports to “Armenpress”, during the meeting, the sides discussed the process of completion of programs being carried out in the Armenia’s energy sector with the help of the World Bank and new paths for cooperation.

Minister Yervand Zakharyan mentioned that the World Bank has provided quite substantial assistance to the development of Armenia’s energy sector. The participants of the meeting also mentioned that great progress has been made throughout the past 15 years of cooperation. The WB representatives expressed willingness to continue the cooperation for further reforms in and development of Armenia’s energy system.
