Russian border guards stopped entry of large consignment of narcotics from Iran to Armenia

YEREVAN, 27 MARCH, ARMENPRESS. Representatives of the Border Guard Department of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Armenia found a large consignment of narcotics that a citizen of the Islamic Republic of Iran had with him at the “Agarak” checkpoint in Syunik Province.

As the Department reports to “Armenpress”, during a joint inspection with employees of the customs house in Meghri, the security officers found in the luggage of the citizen of the Islamic Republic of Iran a cache in which there were four packages (assumed to be metamphetamine packages) containing two kilograms of crystal white dust.

Currently, the employees of the customs house in Meghri are carrying out necessary procedural operations to clarify all the circumstances behind the incident.
