Galust Sahakyan meets Chairman of Federation Council of Russian Federation in Moscow

The Chairman of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia Galust Sahakyan on July 7 met the Chairman of the Federation Councilof theRussian Federation Valentina Matviyenko. The Department of Mass Media and Public Relations of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia informed Armenpress that congratulating the Chairman of the National Assembly Galust Sahakyan on his appointment in the position of the Chairman of the National Assembly and highly appreciating the relations between the two countries, the Chairman of the Federation Councilof theRussian Federation expressed confidencethat the cooperation framework of the two parliaments will continue to expand, the partnership will deepen both in the bilateral and multilateral formats. She attached importance to the expansion of the trade-economic ties, the strengthening of military-technical cooperation, and the further development of cooperation in the humanitarian sphere.

Mrs. Matviyenko stated with satisfaction the successful inter-regional cooperation noting that 70 subjects of the Russian Federation interact with provinces and cities of Armenia.
