Armenians in Estonia: Nearly everybody in Tallinn know about lavash and pakhlava

TALLINN, APRIL 9, ARMENPRESS: Armenian school, Armenian Church, cultural clubs and a cross stone. This is the general picture of the Armenians, living in a small Baltic country, and their activities. Though the Armenian community of Estonia is not that large, but it manages not only to maintain its presence but also preserve the Armenian roots. Here all the Armenian peculiarities have been maintained, even the national mentality of “not getting along with each other”.
1400 Armenians live today in Estonia. Basically they live and function in two major cities – Tallinn and Tartu. 11 Armenian organizations function in the country. Like in many European countries, in Estonia as well the Armenians are separated and independent from each other. “It is an Armenian tradition, a habit”, - says the representative of the Armenian community of Estonia Arthur Ayanyan, adding that independent from various separations, the mission of every organization is the preservation of the Armenian trace and Armenian way of thinking.
Parallel to the Armenian trace and Armenian way of thinking, it is possible to find Armenian shops and Armenian candies in Estonia. Many in Tallinn know about the Armenian lavash and pakhlava.
