Violinist Nikolay Madoyan may find place in “Guinness” Book

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 6, ARMENPRESS:Prominent violinist Nikolay Madoyan may appear in “Guinness” Book of World Records. The Candidate for Record Book is going to manage to play all the six concertos of Paganini’s violin by performing them by heart at the course of one evening for the perspective of finding a place in the Guinness Book of World Records. The concert will be held at Opera and Ballet National Academic Theatre named after Al. Spendiaryan on February 20.
The Media center of the Opera Theatre informed “Armenpress” that Symphony Orchestra of the Opera Theatre will accompany Madoyan. The concert is expected to become a unique musical event around the world, as the attention of all the music lovers will focus on Armenia on that day.
Nikolay Madoyan(born January 6, 1973 inYerevan) is an Armenian violinist. He is the laureate and winner of several international music competitions.
He studied under Hracha Bogdanyan,Zakhar Bron,Isaac Sternand Solovieff.
Madoyan performed with a number of the world's best symphony orchestras and conductors such asRichard Hickox,Frans Brüggen,Claudio Abbado,Arnold Katz,Dmitri Kitayenko,Valer Gergiev,Leopold Hager,Matthias Bamert,Richard Dufalloand Nikolai Alekseyev.
He performedBeethoven's tenSonatas for Violin and Piano(played in 3 evenings one after another),Paganini's24 Caprices(played in one evening without interruption),Bach'sSonatas and Partitasfor solo violin (played in one evening) and Six Sonatas for Violin and Cembalo (played in one evening),Eugène Ysaÿe's Six Sonatas (played in one evening) to name a few. He played all compositions by memory (live).
Madoyan performed at theTivoli Hall,Concertgebouw,Royal Festival Hall, Milan Verdi Theatre and the Big Concert Hall of theMoscow Conservatory.
His discography contains more than 20 CDs.
