Lori Governor receives world chess champion Samvel Ter-Sahakyan

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 8, ARMENPRESS:On December 8, Lori Governor Arthur Nalbandyan received Grand Master Samvel Ter-Sahakyan, who has become world champion at the World Under-18 Chess Championship wrapped up the other day in Brazil, and his coaches. Armenpress’ correspondent reports from Lori that the governor congratulated the junior chess player, who used his last opportunity of reaching the desirable title, and wished him new successes.

Expressing his pride, the governor handed monetary award to the chess player.

Samvel Ter- Sahakyan – the youngest Armenian Grand Master in the world is the one in the chess history of Vanadzor. The chess player told Armenpress’ correspondent in Lori that he had worked hard before the championship, realizing that this is his only opportunity at the World Junior Championship.
