Vice Speaker Alen Simonyan seeks to introduce daylight saving time in Armenia

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 22, ARMENPRESS. Vice Speaker of Parliament Alen Simonyan is proposing to introduce daylight saving time.

He said he has already introduced a bill into circulation.

“It will enable to transition to summer time and save electricity, among others, by using the natural light,” he said in a statement.

The changes envisage advancing clocks by one hour at 02:00 on the last Sunday of March and retarding clocks by one hour at 03:00 on the last Sunday of October.
