Armenia praises US role in its security environment

YEREVAN, AUGUST 27, ARMENPRESS. The United States had a very important role since the first days of Armenian independence in the security environment that was created around Armenia by having important involvement in the maintenance of regional peace, Minister of Foreign Affairs Zohrab Mnatsakanyan said on August 27 at the assembly of Armenian ambassadors.

“We are highly appreciating also the US economic and financial assistance which significantly contributed to the stabilization of the social-economic situation during the first years of our independence. We are sure that the Strategic Dialogue Platform with the US contains new opportunities for expanding and deepening the cooperation agenda,” Mnatsakanyan said, referring to the Armenian-American Strategic Dialogue, which held its inaugural session earlier this year.
