Yerevan mayor unhappy with waste management operator

YEREVAN, MARCH 23, ARMENPRESS. Mayor of Yerevan Hayk Marutyan is unhappy with the work of Sanitek, the city’s waste management operator.

He said the City Hall is monitoring the city and is contacting the operator on a daily basis, sending photos and evidence of poorly cleaned areas. “Frankly speaking up to this moment they have promised to fix the situation, and actually to some extent they have,” Marutyan said.

Marutyan said a process is underway to involve a second waste removal operator in the city.
