Deputy PM receives EBRD delegation

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 5, ARMENPRESS. Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia Tigran Avinyan received the delegation of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) led by Managing Director for Eastern Europe and the Caucasus, Matteo Patrone, the Armenian government told Armenpress.
At the meeting the deputy PM said the EBRD is a strategic partner for Armenia, and the productive cooperation with the Bank continues deepening. He attached importance to the cooperation with the Bank in several directions.
In his turn the EBRD official thanked for the reception and stated that the Bank will soon launch Armenia’s five-year partnership strategy based on the results of diagnostic study in the coming months in line with the government’s program priorities and through an active dialogue with the government. In this regard the deputy PM informed that tomorrow the government’s action plan will be submitted to the Parliament and will be published. He added that the government’s action plan is based on promoting an inclusive growth, increasing the economic competitiveness and boosting export.
The officials also discussed issues relating to boosting foreign direct investments in Armenia by the EBRD support, developing public-private partnership, local capital market and etc.
