Armenian minister holds meeting with Tunisian Ambassador

YEREVAN, JANUARY 31, ARMENPRESS. Minister of economic development and investments Tigran Khachatryan received Ambassador of Tunisia to Armenia Mohamed Ali Chihi, the ministry told Armenpress.

Minister Khachatryan congratulated the Ambassador on appointment and wished success in his important and responsible work.

Both officials outlined the low bilateral trade figures and expressed readiness to make efforts aimed at improving them.

The sides also discussed the possibility to hold a joint investment forum during which B2B format meetings will take place, various investment programs will be presented.

Minister Khachatryan said Tunisia has a successful experience in the development of industrial zones, small and medium entrepreneurship, and the Tunisian businessmen can share this with the Armenian entrepreneurs. He said in their turn the Armenian businessmen can offer to consider the opportunities to carry out activities in the Iranian, EAEU markets and implement joint investment programs.

The meeting also touched upon the possibility to develop a bilateral agreement on investment protection.
