$ 2,5 million worth investment programs kick off in Armenia’s consolidated communities

YEREVAN, MAY 16, ARMENPRESS. Within the framework of the USAID’s ‘Assistance to local self-governance reforms’ program and assistance of the Swiss Cooperation Office in Armenia, the process of providing hardware and equipment worth over 2 million 580 thousand dollars has already kicked off in several consolidated communities, the ministry of territorial administration and development told ARMENPRESS.

Namely, the Tatev community of Syunik, Dilijan community of Tavush and Tumanyan community of Lori were provided with harvesters, multifunction excavators, garbage trucks, dump trucks and other equipment and hardware.

Soon the communities will receive other equipment, minivans, and bus stops will be built in all settlements. Technical maintenance units are planned to be built in the communities.

Overall, 18 consolidated communities will receive equipment worth 11 million dollars during 2018.

Meetings and discussions have been organized in other consolidated communities where the problems and needs have been inventorized.

The expert group of the ministry of territorial administration and development already approved programs for the Urtsadzor, Vayk, Zaritap, Gorhayk, Jermuk, Meghri communities worth a total of 2 million 670 thousand dollars.

5 million 950 thousand dollar worth proposals for Goris, Tegh, Noyemberyan, Koghb, Ayrum, Amasia, Ashotsk, Sarapat and Arpi are being evaluated.
